THE ART OF TAXIDERMY

A successful safari isn’t complete without a lasting trophy to commemorate your adventure. At BOSS Safaris, we work with experienced taxidermists to ensure your animals are professionally prepared, mounted, and safely shipped to your home. Whether you prefer shoulder mounts, full-body displays, or European-style skull mounts, we help you every step of the way.

STEP-BY-STEP TAXIDERMY PROCESS

STEP 1

  • Immediately after your hunt, our professional skinners carefully cape and prepare your trophies.
  • Skins are salted and dried, while skulls and horns are cleaned and properly labeled.
  • All parts are tagged with your details to ensure proper tracking.

Field Preparation

STEP 2

  • Your trophies are transported to a trusted, licensed taxidermy studio.
  • Here, you can choose between full taxidermy mounting or dip & pack services for shipping to your home taxidermist.

Delivery to the Taxidermist

STEP 3

  • If you choose local taxidermy, the mounting process begins. This can take 6–12 months, depending on complexity.
  • If you opt for dip & pack, the trophies are cleaned, disinfected, and prepared for export to your country.

Taxidermy Work & Processing

STEP 4

  • Once complete, your trophies are crated and shipped by an approved wildlife shipping agent.
  • We handle all CITES permits (if applicable) and veterinary clearances to ensure smooth transit.
