- SINCE 2014 -
Boss Safaris and Outfitters was established in 2014 by Wayne Muller, an experienced hunting outfitter and professional hunter. From our humble beginnings, our main objective has been to be the most reputable outfit in South Africa. In 2022, we welcomed our partner, Stefan Kruger, who bolstered that objective. Stefan is a respected outfitter and professional hunter in the international hunting community. He is known for his dedication, determination, and delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests. Wayne, Stefan, and their team are committed to delivering a satisfying and authentic African safari experience. We make the process of choosing an African outfitter a simple, hassle-free experience.
MEET THE OUTFITTERS

“My biggest passion is serving the hunting industry and promoting conservation. I feel it is our responsibility as Outfitters and Professional Hunters, to ensure the survival of our industry and the wildlife for future generations to come. My hope is to one day be remembered as someone who fought to make a difference and succeeded”.

Night Hunting for Nocturnal Species
We pride ourselves on being one of the few outfits in South Africa that are known to specialize in nocturnal hunting and pursuing species such as the African Civet, African Wildcat, Bushpig, Caracal, Honey Badger, Hyena, and Serval among others. We have a high success rate in harvesting these species, as we prepare and maintain our “bait sites” throughout the year. We have been contracted by outfitters throughout South Africa, to whom we provide our services. If these species are on your list, you have most certainly come to the right place.
Known as the “Masked Night Stalker,” the African civet is one of the most fascinating nocturnal predators. It is famous for its striking black-and-white patterned fur, distinctive facial mask, and musky scent. With a stocky build and a low, stealthy gait, the civet thrives in South Africa’s woodlands and savannas. It is a challenging sighting due to its secretive nature, keen senses, and ability to move silently under the cover of darkness.

It is famous for its striking resemblance to domestic cats, exceptional camouflage, and solitary nature. With a slender build and a tawny coat marked by faint stripes, the wildcat thrives in South Africa’s grasslands and bushveld. It is a rare sight due to its nocturnal habits, sharp instincts, and ability to vanish silently into the undergrowth.
AFRICAN WILDCAT

Known as the “Phantom of the Thickets,” the bushpig is one of the most formidable and elusive wild pigs of Africa. It is famous for its aggressive nature, coarse bristled coat, and sharp tusks. With a robust build and a reddish-brown to dark gray hide, the bushpig thrives in South Africa’s dense forests and riverine bush. It is a challenging hunt due to its nocturnal habits, keen sense of smell, and ability to vanish into thick cover with surprising speed.
BUSHPIG
Potamochoerus larvatus
Known as the “Red Ghost of the Bush,” the caracal is one of Africa’s most elusive and skilled predators. It is famous for its striking tufted ears, incredible agility, and powerful leaps. With a sleek, muscular build and a reddish-tan coat, the caracal thrives in South Africa’s savannas, mountains, and arid regions. It is a challenging hunt due to its keen senses, secretive nature, and ability to vanish silently into the rugged terrain.

It is a challenging encounter due to its fearless nature, incredible endurance, and ability to take on predators many times its size.
HONEY BADGER

Known as the “Laughing Shadow of the Savanna,” the hyena is one of Africa’s most cunning and powerful predators. It is famous for its bone-crushing bite, eerie vocalizations, and remarkable endurance. With a muscular build and a coarse, spotted or striped coat, the hyena thrives in South Africa’s grasslands, woodlands, and semi-arid regions. It is a challenging hunt due to its intelligence, strong social structure, and ability to disappear into the night with an uncanny sense of survival.
